  • Re-test information will be given to parents after the papers are shown to the parents.
  • Please take a note – In the report card failures will be underlined with RED with an F e.g. 20F

RANK CRITERIA

1) Students will be given top 10 ranks in a class/section even if they fail in minor subjects i.e. G.K./French/Sanskrit/Computer Science.

2) Students will NOT be given top 10 ranks in a class/section if they fail in any of the major subjects i.e. English/Hindi/Maths/Science/Social Science.

3) 3 ranks to be reflected on the annual report card based on (i) Half Yearly examination

(ii) Annual examination  and (iii) Grand rank (HY+Annual)

4) Grand total marks will be considered for all Grand Ranks.

Kindly take a note of : A child has to pass in all the five major subjects to get promoted to the next class For classes VI-VIII marks of both the Unit Tests will be reflected on the report card.

Attendance below 75% will be given a PGT with signing of an undertaking by the parents on the day of Report Card distribution. No Report Card to be given.

In respect of students participating in sports or national/international level exemption from appearing in any one of the examination may be granted subject to prior approval of the board provided the student will be participating in sports at national or international level organized by recognized federations/CBSE/SGFI and being held during the month of the conduct of the examination in such case, the marks obtained in one examination shall be indicated for the second examination by the board. The school shall fill in the relevant field with ZERO (0) marks. In the hard copy remark be given against such student supported with necessary document. As regards attendance requirement school may take action as per rule 4 of the Examination Byelaws, however efforts we made by the school to give them one more chance to appear in the HY exam upto 31st October in class IX/X and for annual exam upto 31st March in class IX.

It is compulsory for a student to pass in theory and in practical separately.
Retest will be given in one subject once and the student has to pass in retest and score at least 33% marks to get promotion. We consider 33% for promotion internally also as per CBSE rules.

RETEST RULES

FOR CLASSES VI – XI

1) The result will be released within 2 ½ weeks of main result declaration and the students are not to attend classes till results are declared.

2) SMS and email should be sent to the parents of the retest students and please make calls too.

3) Report card to be made with the rest of the class but remark is not to be written. Retest marks and remarks will be computerised. Report Card is taken out after decision is taken of the retest.

4) Gap of at least 2 days should be given if there is a retest in 2 subjects.

5) Retest examination will be conducted after giving the children at least 10 days time to study and prepare for the retest. Retest papers are prepared by the branches on their own but do not reduce standard of papers. Results should be declared as students keep on clearing the exam. Children should be informed over the phone once the tabulation sheet is ready so that they get enough time to prepare for the same. A proper SMS, e-mail and a retest date sheet is given to the child immediately after retest schedule is prepared.

6) All students appearing for the re-test should sign for the date sheet received and it should be kept in a file as record.

7) Wherever possible arrange classes for the students to teach them in school.

 

RETEST REMARKS:

Abhishek has been passed and promoted on the basis of retest marks. Retest marks English 40/100 (for retest remark)

The remarks will be computerised (but have to be fed in manually)

RULES OF MEDICAL CASES

1) Students on medical leave in all subjects have to submit their medical certificate and have to appear for re-test in all the subjects. Promotion will not be given on the basis of Half Yearly Examination. (Class VIII, IX & XI) The retest rule will be applicable accordingly.

2) Students on medical leave in one subject will submit their medical certificate and will be considered for retest in that particular subject. A written application is to be received by the parents for the dates of the retest. (Class VIII, IX & XI)

3) For classes I-VIII, IX & XI if a child has failed in the annual examination and has given a medical certificate in the Half Yearly examination, the child has to appear for a RETEST in that subject in which he/she has failed in the annual examination.

PGT for Attendance Shortage (a copy of undertaking attached)

Students from class VI upwards with attendance percent lower than 75%, who have joined the school on time and are not late admission cases, will not be granted promotion till an undertaking is filled up by the parents and the remark is different as the student will get PGT for all classes. But in junior classes i.e. Nur – V, we do not do this.  No Report Card for classes IX & XI to be given but the child gets promoted to the next class after signing an undertaking by the parents.

Requested to leave on disciplinary grounds or if student has failed twice in the same class.

If the child is found wanting on disciplinary grounds and his/her name has come in the remedial register where enough of written warnings have been issued to the child and parents have signed on the warning letter issued (a copy of which is to be stuck in the remedial register), then the remedial register has to be brought along with the tabulation and the case is to be discussed with Directors of associate schools. In such a case, the child will be requested to leave the school.

If the child has failed twice in the same class, the child will be requested to leave the school.

  • A list should be made block-wise for the students who are repeating the class and to be presented while showing the bigger tabulation.
  • A black star («) should be marked next to the name of the child in the bigger tabulation.
  • A Green star («)should be marked next to the name of the child in the bigger tabulation for special achievement
